Peer-learning was on full display as Together Hospitality NYC kicked off its inaugural meeting on January 24, 2024.  Gathering at the spacious Le Rock in Rockefeller Center, graciously hosted by Joel Michel and Jorge Riera, about thirty hospitality professionals were illuminated by these downtown restaurant rebels as they recounted bringing  their attitude to uptown tourist mecca.  “Don’t conform, and don’t dilute what you bring to the neighborhood,” was Riera’s advice.

Authority member Kash Singh highlighted the wisdom in bringing your GC with you when you look at a new space, while social impact partners from Allie’s Place showcased their culinary training center as a resource for restaurateurs.  Together founder Derek Sherman summed it up best when he quoted, “If you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together.”
