Roundtable with Urbanspace Chicago
Together Hospitality members and guests assembled in the mezzanine of Urbanspace Chicago on 7/13 for our monthly roundtable with coffee and donuts sponsored by Locasaur. Hosted by Remeka Sullivan, the AGM of Urbanspace, the conversation included various insights from our Authority & Ally members and their guests, all owners & operators of diverse Chicago restaurants and brands.
The conversation ranged from the impression that “COVID is over” despite a slew of supply chain issues that impact opening timelines; to partnering with TikTok influencers for barter, rather than building your own content which is time consuming and comes with no guarantees. And while ghost kitchens are more popular than ever, they are struggling with building SEO because the physical address can be confusing for guests looking for a brick and mortar restaurant.
Our Social Impact partner from Green City Market shared more about their efforts to impact food instability by offering fresh produce at various locations in the city, and their upcoming Chef BBQ on September 9th will feature more than 100 restaurants and bars across Chicagoland.
The meeting continued out on the river, with members and guests joining in for the Chicago Architectural Foundation’s River Cruise, generously sponsored by our member Hudson Creative, a digital marketing agency.
